I do not have a GST payment tab on my Kotak Net Banking page. How do I get it activated?

Please submit a duly filled Board Resolution for eTax and eTax Letter to your nearest branch to get the GST tab activated.

Can I pay GST using Cash?

Yes, GST payment can be made through cash at any of the Kotak Mahindra Bank branches near you.

Can I pay GST via Cheque?

Yes, GST payment can be made through cheque at any of the Kotak Mahindra Bank branches near you.

Can I pay GST through a Demand Draft?

Yes, GST can be paid through either of the following payment modes - Cash, Cheque or DD at any of the Kotak Mahindra Bank branches near you or using Kotak Net banking from the comfort of your home.

I generated my challan 3 days ago. By when can I make the GST payment using this challan?

Challan created from the GST portal is valid for 15 days from the date of challan generation. You can also check the challan expiry date details mentioned on the challan copy itself.

What do I do if my challan has expired?

You can create a new challan from the GST portal and complete your payment through any of the available modes of payment.

How can I be sure if my GST payment has been completed?

You will get a payment acknowledgment slip after completing the GST payment through Kotak Net banking. You can also download and print the same.

For GST payment through Cash and DD, please ensure to collect the final payment acknowledgment slip from the branch officials.

Where can l I get a paid copy of the challan against my GST payment?

For Net banking transactions, you will be redirected to the GST portal once your transaction is successful. You can then download a paid copy of the challan for GST payment from the GST portal.

 

Alternatively, you can also log in to the GST portal at a later time and download a paid copy of the challan against any mode of payment from the “challan history” tab under services.

Is there a cut-off time for making GST payments through e-payment/ Net Banking?

There are no cut-off timings for e-payment/ Net banking mode of payment. This mode of payment is available 24*7 for the customer (taxpayers) to make their GST payments.

Is there a cut-off time for making GST payments through any of the Over-the-counter (OTC) – Cash, Cheque and DD modes of payment at Kotak Bank branches?

The cut-off time for making GST payments at branches through cash, transfer cheque and DD is 6 pm every day.

 

The cut-off time for making GST payments through a clearing cheque (cheque of any bank other than Kotak Mahindra Bank) is 2 pm every day.

Any GST payment through clearing cheques received after 2 pm on a particular day will be processed on the next working day.

Can I make a GST payment on a holiday?

Yes, you can make GST payments conveniently on all working days, including public holidays.
